Pacific Northwest Trip

August 2008

We traveled to the Pacific Northwest to take in the urban and natural sights, with many of the stops being the first visit for Judd and the kids. We started in Seattle, Washington, then moved on to camping in Olympic National Park, where Peter joined us for several days of hikes and campfires and visits to the coastline (Cape Flattery and Rialto Beach). We ferried from Port Angeles to Victoria, BC, in Canada, and drove on to Tofino, BC, on Vancouver Island. We took another ferry to get to the city of Vancouver on the mainland. Finally, we drove down to Portland, OR to stay with friends Pepper and Selvi and explore the city. We went with them on a side trip to the Oregon coast, staying over a night in Pacific City, where everyone had a good time at the beach at Cape Kiwanda.
