Kazalinoland
July 2003

We miss our old neighborhood and Washington, D.C. address, but Maryland has been OK so far. Clay and Lucy have found the concrete patio behind our new house makes a good tricycle track. We were once again lucky that the previous owners did a lot of fixing up inside and outside the house. (A couple of the flowers that have popped up in our garden appear over on the right side of the page.) Our new address, phone and email information appears after the photo below.

Once again, Judd's taken the "not never, but very late" approach to updating the site, which means many of the newly posted photos are pretty old.  The earliest ones date back to last November, when Lucy turned one, and include Christmastime and Clay's third birthday in January. Now, of course, we can add "1/2" when reporting their ages.

We sold our DC home in February, just before the big snowstorm hit. After we dug out, Julia and Clay took a quick trip to Atlanta in March.  Judd and the kids spent the Easter break down in Florida. Finally, in May we drove up to Philadelphia to proudly watch Julia's brother Kris graduate from the University of Pennsylvania. Outside the home, Julia got promoted to counsel at her law firm. She also won her first case that went to trial. Clay successfully completed his first year of pre-school. Lucy probably would like to go to school in the fall, but we'll let her have another year without having to worry about schedules. Judd will maintain some adult contact by helping to publish the school's newsletter and keeping its website updated.
